How to Use This Collection
Plat books make use of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) to represent land ownership. We transcribed personal, business and place names in the plat maps. Choose a page and then view "page & text" to see map and transcript side by side. You may also search names in the description field to locate owners of plats. The number in parentheses after a name indicates the section the name appeared in. For example, "Henderson Edwards (2)" means "Henderson Edwards" appeared in section 2 of the plat map.
